Psychic Dancehall festival - useful information and FAQs
The first Psychic Dancehall festival comes to Derby on 22nd March 2025.

Through funding support from the Arts Council we have provided a range of affordable ticket prices.

Wristband exchange
Saturday 22nd March, 10am-4pm

We recommend collecting your wristband as early as you can to ease queuing for wristbands and allow more time to enjoy the local bars and restaurants.

Getting to the festival
Train – The festival (The Wardwick venue) is approximately a 22 minute walk from Derby station.
Bus and coach travel - The festival (The Wardwick venue) is approximately an 11 minute walk from Derby station.
On foot - On arrival in Derby all festival sites are within walking distance of each other and close to all city centre amenities and establishments.
By car - There are several car parks within walking distance of the festival site.

Derby has access to UBER via the app, and we recommend local taxi firm Albatross Cars who can also be booked via phone or their own app for a reliable service.

Where can I find my e-ticket?
Once you have purchased your ticket(s) you should recieve your e-tickets with a QR code via an email from Ticket Source.
There will also be a list of names at the wristband exchange of all ticket buyers, with ID wristbands can be collected in this manner as well.

What venues are being used?

How long should it take me to travel between the venues?
It will take approximately 10 minutes to walk between our two venues, The Wardwick and Dubrek Studios.
Are bags allowed in venues?
Yes, but please be aware that bags will need to be checked each time you enter a venue. Checks will take place by security teams who are supporting each venue.
You cannot enter the venues with your own drinks.
Can alcoholic drinks bought at the festival be taken between venues?
No. Due to pre-existing licensing laws within Derby, no alcoholic drinks may be carried between venues. We ask that you bear this in mind throughout the festival and also that you cooperate with our door staff who will be upholding this ruling on our behalf.
Will earplugs be available at venues?
We always encourage audiences to bring their own re-useable ear protection, but they will not be available at the festival.
Are there any access restrictions at the venues?
Dubrek Studios is fully accessible, and The Wardwick has accessibility provision (full accessibility information for that venue is coming soon.
Psychic Dancehall festival aims to do everything it can to be fully accessible to all attendees. If you have specific access requirements please contact the festival and we will arrange what we can. Festival staff will be on hand during the day and will do everything they can to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable day.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Only alcohol purchased on site may be consumed on site. Bag searches will be in operation throughout the entire weekend at both venues and bringing alcohol on to our site will not be permitted.
What is Challenge 25?
We are required to operate Challenge 25: anyone that our bar staff think looks younger than 25 years will be asked to provide photographic ID. If you think you look younger than 25 years old, please make sure you have sufficient ID with you.
Do you serve food on site?
Yes! Dubrek Studios offers a range of pizzas and sides with vegan and gluten free options. The festival is in the centre of Derby with a wide array of food options available to suit all tastes.
Will merchandise be available to buy?
Yes! Festival merchandise and merchandise from artists performing will be available at both venues. Merchandise from artists will be available in the venues they perform at.
Can I apply to Volunteer?
Volunteers to help with the running of the festival would be appreciated. Please fill in the contact form and select “Volunteer enquiry”.
Do you accept cash payments on site?
Yes! We will continue to accept cash on site at our venues.
Can I smoke / vape on site?
Normal smoking / vaping rules apply: you can smoke in any outdoor area on site, you cannot smoke / vape inside any enclosed public buildings and / or spaces.

Code of Conduct
We want everyone attending Psychic Dancehall festival to have a safe and enjoyable time. We aim to create safe and inclusive spaces for all and ask that all our staff, supporters, artists and festival goers follow this code of conduct:
Respect each other / No hate speech
Be kind, polite and respectful to others. We will challenge you if you use abusive, racist, sexist, misogynist, ableist, classist, sizeist, ageist, homophobic or transphobic language.
This an anti-racist and anti-discrimination space. Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, religion, class, age, dis/ability or language will not be tolerated. Anyone failing to adhere to this rule will be ejected from the festival.
Respect personal Boundaries
Don’t invade other people’s personal or emotional space, unless invited to do so. Respect people’s boundaries.

Festival Accessibility
Psychic Dancehall is working hard to be an accessible event and take into consideration the needs of everyone attending. The Wardwick is a Grade II listed, historic building so has some limitations but does have accessible access.
If you have specific accessibility requirements please contact the festival and we will do everything we can to accommodate a safe and enjoyable day for you.
