Monoxide Brothers

Birmingham’s newest nuclear noise duo Monoxide Brothers release their debut single ‘Spine’ on November 1st 2024.

Using a rig of begged, stolen and borrowed tech, Monoxide Brothers transmit adrenaline and anxiety into fuzz-fuelled, raw electronic tracks.

Monoxide Brothers are Emily Doyle (synths & beats) and Sophie Hack (vocals & synths).

'Spine' is their first single. As an escape from the anxiety of late-stage capitalism, the duo’s penchant for B-movies and unsettling soundscapes has coalesced into a wail of saturated analogue catharsis.

Their live performances shout back at misogynistic microaggressions, chew over the true horror of the 21st century (sending emails) and meditate on societal pressures through the classic lens of the meal deal lunch.

Wound up on millennial frustration and female rage, Monoxide Brothers are a manicured chaos of harsh bass, scuzzy keys and bittersweet pop hooks.

These are existential sounds for the anxious, and they toe the line between infectious electronic pop and avant-garde experimental noise.
